happiness and contentment at the age of 15

I some time wonder what constitutes the concept of happiness. Is it respect , love or just good luck that happens to be accorded to you by other human beings.
Is it a temporary state of mind,body and soul Can it ever be everlasting.
When a person is a child it is the small pleasures which you get from eating ice-cream or watching a cartoon. For me the best pleasure when i was a kid was doing the above mentioned and also being congratulated on my birthday.
As i grew up in my early teens my interests diversified into sports, music,movies and food. Infact i clearly remember one of the most memorable years of my life 1978.
I was 15 years old and I think was entering the passage of puberty. In my father's house my main source of pleasure was listening to the radio.In the morrning between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. The voice of Kenya broadcast the news from 7 00 to 7 15 in the morning. After that the breakfast show used to begin. The presenters were seasoned and played the best hits of the day I remember I heard Stevie Wonder and Lionel Ritchie. These artists have sweet melodic voices and the songs were so soft to the soul. When i used to go to school I used to go to the food canteen during break and eat mandazi with a bottle of coca-cola. That year my dad bought a television that really changed my life. I remeber finishing my home work after school at 4 pm. The cartoons would start at 5 30 pm till 6 30 pm. I fell in love with the three stooges and that rascal dog Scooby dod.
Later in the year I remember my parents went for a trip to the United Kingdom and left me with a guardian. Now this fellow was a teacher and like to watch movies at the local theatre. So on Fridays and Saturdays he used to tell me to get ready to go and watch. That is the time i first got to know Hollywood superstars like Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep and Richard Gere
Also that year was 1978 the world cup was being played in Argentina. I remeber sitting till late in the night watching the final between the hosts and Holland.
That was a golden year in my life as it open up horizons which i am still exploring t
oday All these activites have give me such happiness and i hope it stays that way till the end of time.
